Promotional Post

Blatant flogging of others books that rocked my reader/writer world. There’s a few authors out there that I will buy their books, unquestioned, and without even slowing down to read the cover blurb.

In no particular order, these authors are (linked to their Amazon Pages for your convenience):

Jason Cordova

Sara King

Pam Uphoff

Robert Crane

*and in writing this, I apparently need to figure out how to link across the domain registrations, all I can get links for (that work) are the .ca extensions…

There are a few others that also have their hooks into me, and their styles will find resonance in my writing, but I can only hope to emulate my heroes.

Now, here’s your gateway drugs er links to the books that started me down the dark path of addiction, umm, fandom? Anyhow, again… a first from each of them in the series that got me my fix.

Jason Cordova…

He debuted in his first series “The Warp”, there’s two of the three written now, I’m waiting with anticipation for the third to drop as of writing this… Second Note: his Kaiju series is also worth the read, fast paced military action in the style of Eric Flint and John Ringo. Hooked from the first page.

Sara King…

I found out about Sara through a writer’s site that is no longer live, and both she and I stopped using eons ago. But her preliminary breakout novel there was ‘After Earth’ which had to be dropped, significantly re-written and then she’s still working on it as life progresses and her more successful novels take precedence. I would recommend starting with her “Legend of Zero”series if you’re a mil-sci-fi reader, or her Alaskan Fire set if you’re more of a paranormal romance type. I read both and they’re both worth the time to read the series.

Pam Uphoff…

There’s something about this world, but different. Near future sci-fi gone magic is the theme here and it was fun, really fun, to read this one through. There’s like 30 some odd books in the running so far… I ended up stopping around book 12 or so, because I was out of time and the fifth child was being born soon….

And finally Robert Crane…

What can I say. Pure escapism, at its finest…

Here’s the book that started me off.

From Amazon’s promo page “A warrior without a purpose. An army without a war. An enemy without remorse.

Take a look. No pressure, but if you need to get away from the crazy and madness for a short time, there’s nothing better than these hallucinations…

Duke.
